PERSONAL LİFE

I live in the Gökova Bay, along the Akyaka–Akbük route, immersed in the forest. This life I have built at the heart of the natural environment is shaped by my daily interactions with animals, trees, and plants. Working in my garden, cultivating the soil, planting and harvesting; being in direct contact with the sea and the coastal ecosystem are fundamental components of my life practice.

This experience is not only a lifestyle choice but also forms the epistemological basis of my artistic production. The physical and labor-based relationship I have with nature directly influences the thematic and formal decisions in my work. Observing the ecosystem I am part of, participating in its cycles, and rethinking my own consumption habits through this land defines the conceptual framework of my production practice.

My attempt to obtain my own food from the land I live on as much as possible deepens my questioning of the concepts of ownership, belonging, and sustainability. Therefore, my works bear the traces of an experienced geography, not just a representative one. My production is both a physical and ethical reflection of the environment I live in.
